One of the best motivators to do something – or not do something – NOW is to know whether you’ll regret it LATER.
And I would like to believe, for most of us, age begets wisdom. So, when you know the primary regrets of the elderly, you can reverse-engineer the process of living your life more intentionally today.
Right?
These thoughts are born out of an Apple News article I saw this week, titled “3 main regrets of people in nursing homes.”
Intrigued, I clicked on the link. This is what I saw:

If you don't want to read it off the image, I'll give you my quick summary:
1. Health is the greatest wealth. Do what you need to do to take care of your body (AND brain) because it's not guaranteed for any of us. Invest in your health and longevity.
2. Don't work your life away, and if you're going to work a lot, do it towards something that matters. There's a "loss pain" for everything we do. Make sure it's worth it.
3. Life is too short to harbor resentment and unresolved conflict. Say something, do something. Today. Everything is lighter when you're not carrying these heavy loads.
I readily admit that much of what I say on stage and in my articles are also things that I need to hear. I'm glad I saw these three reminders.
I hope you are, too :-)
Keep Outperforming,
