I posted the following picture and caption on LinkedIn earlier this week and I thought it could serve you:
One of the last things I tell myself before I take the stage for any speech is to "Bring The Joy." Why? There are actually quite a few reasons:
1. It lessens the pressure you put on yourself to deliver outcomes
2. When you have fun, the audience has fun
3. It's 100% controllable
4. Helps with paralysis-by-analysis and fixating on what to say, when
5. The world needs more joy 🙂
You might think this has nothing to do with you because you're not "taking the stage," but it does (for #2 simply make it, When you have fun, people around you have fun).
Which one of these do you think is most important?
