Health and Wellness
You Won’t Find it in a Pill.
Health and wellness are commonly used terms. We’ve all heard we should eat healthier, we all know we should exercise more. We all know it, but based on the current obesity rates, why do so few do it? Why is it so difficult?
First, we must define what the terms mean. Although they are common, health and wellness are also broad, complex terms. What does it mean to have “wellness?” Or “health?” There are physiological markers that can be identified by a doctor (body fat, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc…), but true health and wellness transcends these markers.
The true meaning of health and wellness would include:
- High levels of energy
- Feeling good about yourself
- Eating well
- Getting enough sleep
- Managing your stress
- Satisfying relationships
- Living a balanced life
If you can currently say “yes” to the above items, congrats! You’re on the right track.
