Do you speak in public?

Then you are a public speaker. And speaking in public is not easy, because many times the message we’re trying to convey is not necessarily the message that’s received.

These are four – somewhat random – keys to communicate better with people, whether it’s a team of 2 or company of 2,000.

  1. Beware your repetitive mannerisms (not just what you say, but how you use your hands)
  2. Speak personally and it will resonate universally
  3. Be cognizant or your environment and surroundings, and how they interact (esp. virtually)
  4. R-E-L-A-X. What makes the audience most uncomfortable is when you are uncomfortable.

To your communication and greater impact!
