During a leadership keynote at beautiful Jekyll Island, GA, this week, we got in a discussion of infection.
It wasn't what you're thinking.
It sounds strange to say, but we're ALL infectious. We infect people every day.
What are you infecting people with?
We all know somebody that infects others with pessimism, skepticism, criticism. They suck the life out of a room.
Let's infect with something better.
Let's infect others with challenge, growth, positivity, belief, empathy. Let's breathe life INTO a room.
Two reasons I particularly LOVE "infect":
First, word choices matter. The words we use (to ourselves and to others) is, literally, how we prescribe meaning to the world.
Second, ownership. If you truly believe you're infecting people, you're more cognizant about what you say and do, and how you say it and do it. Your words and actions matter.
Be your infectious best and keep Outperforming,

Outperform.
