On Tuesday, I spent the morning working from a coffee shop.
The coffee is ridiculously good (and ridiculously expensive!), but I like the vibe. It's one of my favorite places to work when I'm home from speaking.
Over the course of 3.5+ hours, the table next to me was occupied by three completely different groups of people.
First, a young guy came in solo.
Laptop open. Noise-cancelling headphones on. Locked in.
What was he working on?
Website design?
A side hustle?
Tech support?
After that, two men walked in.
One wore a suit. The other khakis and a polo shirt.
Clearly a business meeting.
What was the venture?
Financial advising?
A startup company?
Lastly, later in the morning, two women sat down.
Both smiling. Both excited to see each other.
They seemed thrilled to reconnect.
Were they old friends?
Moms catching up?
Former coworkers?
I found myself wondering...
When it hit me:
Somewhere along the way, many of us lose our sense of wonder.
We stop being curious.
We become so focused on our schedules, screens, responsibilities, and routines that we forget there's a big, fascinating world happening all around us.
People from all walks of life, with different stories and experiences, coming together in a similar spot.
Sometimes all it takes is looking up from your phone (or laptop) long enough to notice.
Keep Outperforming,

Outperform.
